Day 1 - The Oregon Coast

420 miles (0 offroad), 11.5 hours. Camped at Nesika Beach RV park, OR (**).

On the first day we travelled from San Francisco to Gold Beach, OR on Rt 101, which offers spectacular coastal views.

It was stinking hot - a taste of what was to come. We both donned nylon evaporative cooling vests, which, if soaked with water, give about an hour of effective cooling. Ahhh.
